Sierra, Quinlan and Rayne stay behind in the bunk (Venmoor) while the rest move off to Corrin. Guy rides with Dwyrin on his griffin while the rest (Jesse and Solaris) use horses. Richard and Crummy however head off to Mutelli to find Crummy's thieves guild.

Guy's group reaches the Corrin capital of Whitewater. Corrin is divided into 2 parts: Whitewater and East Isle. Guy's group heads to East Isle where the 4 courts (love, law, war, and commerce) and their 4 respective queens reside. Deciding to settle important matters first, they move off to the court of law. As they enter, a guy walks up to Dwyrin and speaks to him. It appears that the guy is a lawyer's secretary. In the center of the room, a lady sits atop a throne with a blindfold on while wearing a black glove (behold! The Queen of Law!). Dwyrin mutters "That snotty bastard (Prince Erron of Richese) is here." As Guy's group moves towards the throne, the queen suddenly barks an order for the guards to hold Solaris down and search for a gold ring. They find it and confiscate it. Seeming satisfied, the queen addresses the 2 parties; Prince Erron plus lawyer and Guy's group. Prince Erron lies blatantly saying he doesn't know anything. The queen threateningly asks if he will contend with her eye but Prince Erron persists that he is but her humble servant. With that, getting pissed, the queen opens her hand to present and eyeball smack in the middle of her palm. Erron doubles over in pain and quickly blurts out not of his own free will that he detests Dwyrin and that this would be a good opportunity to get rid of him. The queen stops his torment while Dwyrin dares release a smile. She next questions Solaris and Guy. Guy happily asks her her name and she very patiently and politely replies (Anicca; a cousin of the Corrin emperor). Guy hands over the letter and the Saduca spies book as evidence and although not being much, the queen declares to Erron that Kanly vendetta must be called off except for Richard and Crummy (ha ha!). She calls forth Christian (King Louis' character) to protect the rest of the group and that Jon Storm only goes after Richard and Crummy. Guy asks the queen about his bitch of a mum but Queen Anicca doesn't know her. She did however say that there was a Lady Redmane in this court itself. Now, Solaris steps forward and asks for her ring back but the queen refuses saying that her (Solaris) depended on it being not on her. Obviously unhappy, Solaris leaves the court with Guy in tow to go look for Lady Redmane. In the office, Guy sees his mum for the first time! Apparently he has a younger sister who is a caster (and that little insolent bitch tried to zap him too!). Being unfavourably hostile, Redmane gives Guy her address of her villa and tells Guy to come over tomorrow for the chest and other such stuff. With that, she commands them to leave. As 2 of them step out the door first, Jesse sidles up to Redmane and asks her what her problem was to which she replied curtly "None of your business." The next day, Guy skips to the villa. Inside, he sees a portrait of Lady Redmane, a younger man, and the little bitch from hell. The servants lead Guy to the dining hall where Redmane stands waiting for him. She beckons Guy to follow her to one of the rooms on the upper floor where it is filled with various masks. She orders Guy to choose one which he does and exits the room. Back in the tavern, after shopping, a knock is heard on Solaris' door. She opens it to find the woman from that same morning who "accidentally" bumped into her, trying to search her pockets for something. Christian asks who she really is but she retorts "Who are you to ask me that exactly?" After much quabbling, the woman mutters that this was a bad idea and starts to move away but Christian speedily tackles her and knocks her out, later tying her up. Then, he sends a messenger to relay this information to the Queen of Law. Short moments later, she arrives with her convoy. She looks at the woman and seems relieved. She tells Solaris that her life had just been saved by this spy and orders the woman to be beheaded in the town square. Christian, doing a good job, received 550GP and 2 pearls. Guy comes back after all the commotion of the previous events have died down and Jesse fills him in on the details.

During one of the evenings in the Richesian forest, Richard feels that something is following them. The couple immediately ride off while they hear a constant rustling beside them getting nearer and nearer. Upon closer inspection while riding, the mysterious shadow looks like the shape of a horse. They continue riding but the creature manages to keep pace and is even, a little faster. Richard stops and signals Crummy to do the same. The creature halts as well. Richard casts light on a stone and throws it towards the beast. The beast simply retreats and now it feels like there is something behind them but they see nothing. They ride off again to the left when they suddenly hear a horse whinnying and a loud crash. They both go to check it out and they see a carcass of a white horse cut in half, still breathing. They haul ass very, very quickly. Nearing the border, the 2 see that it's guarded by Earthshields (aka, Boulderbrains). One of the Earthshields warns them of a roving band of bandits in the area. One of the other Earthshields asks another of his kind if Richard's boar was the same one that had been causing all the trouble. Richard and Crummy haul ass. The Earthshields shout after them but the 2 just keep riding like there was no tomorrow. They eventually reach Prezzo, a Mutelli city. They walk into a tailor shop to get some clothes. On the way to find a tavern, Crummy finds that his coin pouch is missing. Crummy is furious (Crummy mad! Crummy angry! CRUMMY SMASH!). Someone grabs Crummy by the arm and says that he knows Gopher (Crummy) is back. Although Crummy is looking for them, they are really looking for Crummy. Richard and Crummy tell the tailor to keep any messages they might receive and stay for the night at The Stinging Mug. Later that night, when Richard goes to relieve himself, he finds a piglet's head hanging on the door knob with a tag on it: GOPHER. The next morning, Crummy find out that people are out to get him (like DUH?) and that he shouldn't have come back at all (too late!). After asking plenty of wrong people wrong questions, Richard gets kicked out of town and Crummy has no choice but to join him. Crummy later finds out that his guild members think he killed his dwarf mentor; Hathwell. With not much left that they can do, they head back to Corrin. Along the way, an Earthshield spots them and points and shouts while more Earthshields come out to chase after them. Richard and Crummy haul ass again.
